Funerals and Garden of Remembrance
If you live in Moxley Parish you are welcome to contact us about arranging your wedding service here at All Saints. We can usually accommodate you on the date you would like, although we sometimes need to set aside two weekends each summer for our own breaks.
If one or both of you has been previously married, we need to talk things through, before going further.
We like to get to know you quite well before your wedding day. This can mean some 30-45 minute sessions together, when we look at the Marriage Service, and talk through the vows you’ll be making. We also include a rehearsal in church, usually during the week before the wedding.
If you require Banns of Marriage to be read here, before getting married elsewhere, please make contact about three months before your wedding day.
The fee for a Wedding Service in 2010 is £400
For Banns Of Marriage, the fee is £34
We always welcome enquiries about a Christening. We usually suggest that the family or parents attend church for about four Sundays before the special day. Sometimes we run a special course for parents and god-parents. This can be a great help, for understanding the meaning of the Baptism promises.
Please note: at least one parent, and all god-parents, need to have been Christened themselves. But please don’t be put off by this – we like to use this situation as an opportunity to explain the Christian faith.
The usual day for a Christening is Sunday. Sometimes we can include it as Baptism in our regular 10.00 am Communion Service. Otherwise we suggest 12.00 or 3.00 pm for a service just for the families involved. There is no charge – God’s love comes free!
Funerals and Garden of Remembrance
All the local Funeral Directors know us well, and arrange services at All Saints, followed by burial or cremation elsewhere.
If you wish to inter ashes here, please arrange this through the Funeral Director, or make contact with us directly. We are always happy to discuss your needs, and advise about a memorial tablet.
We would ask you to note the guidelines about flowers, posted on the window of the hall nearby.
