Virtual Control Panel - Version history - Versions up to v4.0.13 ---------------------------------------------------------------- This list describes for each VCP version the changes made which distinguish that version from the previous version. The latest version is therefore the culmination of all of these changes. MBDA 1726 originally had version v4.0.0 but that was upgraded to version v4.0.3 in November 2009. In Novemeber 2010 version v4.0.13 is being installed. v4.0.0 - This is the first version of VCP for Alpha use. v4.0.1 - 2/11/09 - New feature: Cyclable jog pendant now supported. v4.0.2 - 10/11/09 - Bug fixed: Where end of ramp sometimes not seen (ramp flag erroneously left up). v4.0.3 - 12/11/09 - Improvement made: Cal check can now only be performed when all axes have no pressure. v4.0.4 - 17/11/09 - New feature: (service use only) engineering access code now shows AI calibration coefficients in use. v4.0.5 - 24/11/09 - Bug fixed: Right click on stop/reset button revealed last right click menu used. It now does nothing. v4.0.6 - 12/1/10 - Recompliled to use our latest ethernet module (Albert.exe) (no code changes to VCP). v4.0.7 - 18/1/10 - Bug fixed: Alarm history label now shows "No alarm occurrences" rather than "Showing entry 1 to 20 of 347" (was uninitalised label). - Improvement made: Removed old alarm history files from install disk. - Bug fixed: Screen update event was missed under certain conditions. Now fixed. - Bug fixed: Alarm history screen now shows file in use not file for that day (may not exist) on load. v4.0.8 - 4/2/10 - Improvement made: Small tweak such that osc amp only refreshed on transducer change when osc mode matches the mode for which transducer has changed (reduces VCP workload very slightly). v4.0.9 - 9/2/10 - New feature: Support added for custom waveforms. - New feature: Nudge control option added for entering bias value. - New feature: Change history feature added (alarm history feature merged into this). - Improvment made: Can now have multiple warning messages spawned such as 'Mains failure' and 'None SI units' they just stack up one after another. - New feature: Firmware version now reported in VCPs about box. - Recompliled to use our latest ethernet module (Albert.exe v1.0.4) (no code changes to VCP). v4.0.10 - 18/5/10 - New feature: Num of data points sent to Data Manager now alterable (was fixed). Some time bases removed to allow this to work. - Bug fixed: Where Compaction Run changing mode (or Macro) could clash with tmrMain also trying to update mode. - Improvement made: Advice prompt now given if trying to operate pump and not logged in. - Improvement made: If Data Manager closed by user, macro cannot be locked up regardless of when user closed it. v4.0.11 - 29/7/10 - Bug fixed: Where performing trapezoids with ramps in different modes and one ramp has very fast rate - on mode change point VCP previous could overwrite command with value from say 100 mS ago. v4.0.12 - 13/9/10 - New feature: (service use only) Alpha Bus Diagnostic Tool. - Improvement made: Switching Valve integrator ON now confirms with operator about having to set the other I gains to zero. Also valve integrator now visually appears to come on instantly (it actually waits for the others to fade to zero first). - New feature: Limit interlock added which is a 'software interlock'. Like the hardware interlocks it to inhibits pump operation. Only STOP/RESET can reset it. The Clear LED in the control sytem is therefore now deemed only for hardware interlocks whereas the Clear LED in VCP is for all interlocks. Added because we had conflicting requirements. MBDA wanted independent pump operation for each axis but we had only one Control interlock. So we had to issue a STOP/RESET for 'Stop Hydraulics' action. But this also clears interlocks. We now therefore have a new interlock just for Limits. - Improvement made: Interlocks window now shown always on top. - New feature: (service use only) Engineering code added so that ident overrides may be made. An ident code may now have ranges specified during configuration, including offset ranges. - Alteration made: Permissible range for entered values for integral and differential gains reduced. - Improvement made: Data Manager automatically made to Quit if VCP closes first. No point leaving Data Manager running with no VCP as it would not be able to perform acquisition. - New feature: Unipolar ranges now supported. Some items (quite correctly) in command right click menu become disabled when unipolar range in use. - Bug fixed: Where attempting to view settings in place at a date/time instant and the date is todays date. System would not accept todays date. - Improvement made: For command value, nudge buttons attempting to go overrange are now clipped not just ignored. v4.0.13 - 16/11/10 - Alteration made: Integral gain maximum limit changed from 1.0 to 5.0 (Darren believes MBDA really do need this much).
